What is Warthog Wars?
Warthog Wars is my biggest, most ambitious game I have ever made. It is a Xbox 360 game that took me a whole year to create. I downloaded the XNA framework, which allows me to create games for the Xbox 360. I told my parents that I wanted to create this big game, one that had online multiplayer, enemies that would react to how the player plays, a storyline, a store to upgrade, and a gamemode that if the player did well enough, could play forever yet receive a different experience every time. I called this game Warthog Wars, a spin off of Microsoft’s popular game Halo. After a failed attempt to create this game with the limited experience I had in making Xbox games, I studied another textbook, this one purely teaching me how to make Xbox games. I also bought a reference book, one that I could look to if I had a problem about one of the many complicated aspects of an Xbox game. I decided to completely re-do Warthog Wars, this one with carful outlining and planning before I started.
